 Our dinner and unwrapping was last night, so I’m snacking on leftovers and going through my pile of new books deciding which to read next. Safe travels to you!

Five Things Friday December 20, 2024

 Ready for Christmas? Me neither. Here’s where my list making tendencies really kick in. Some of my cookie efforts have been good, some disastrous. Luckily there’s time to fix a few mistakes.

One: I love this kitchen for being retro yet something Jane Jetson might cook in.

Two:  I can pass no opportunity by to feature Fizzies.

Three:  Neville Longbottom continues to age well, yo.

Four:  TV Guide was so much fun to read. And here we have two of my favorite Christmas Shows.

Five: Here’s a pretty little toolbox made into a Christmas decoration. So pretty.

Five Things Friday November 29, 2024

 When the first thing your spouse says to you is that it’s Friday and there’s no Five Things zzzzzzzz.  I have been a fiend getting ready for Thanksgiving, and now a little break before I go into Christmas mode. Posts late, but present, check.

One:Thanksgiving was good, all the food, all the cleaning and organizing, but it wasn’t THIS perfect.

Two:  I finally found a tasty yet simple recipe for Apple Strudel. It is a nice alternative to apple pie. 

Three: My husband was Mr. Perfecto for the holiday so no reflection on him.

 Four: ‘Tis the season for shopping and hiding gifts as needed.  

Five: Your weekly Vintage Christmas display.  I’m not a fan of Jadeite, the green serving ware, but it does have some charm when added to a Santa display.
