DOA In The Garden End of Day 4/22/26

I didn't get the center vegetable garden done.  I thought I had best finish uncovering my perennial beds so they could get sun and rain and air.  Also, I am terrible about getting things potted up in a timely manner, so I potted up all but one of the annuals (a red petunia that didn't look so red when closed, but now fully open, it's really red.) How to work it's color into all of my pastels?

The picture I have for you tonight is the bulk of my Frog Corner frog collection.  Always charming!

Some unexpectedly cool night temps are coming over the next few days, so I'll need to bring my plants in at night to be sure they are doing ok.  It's a ritual at this time of year.  I'm hoping tomorrow's rain comes late, so I can get that veg garden.  If not, I'll wait a few days for the soil to dry out.

I love springtime.

Welcome March!

I like March. It feels like spring is imminent.  Easter approaches. We aren’t just turned back towards the light, we are ready to be out in the sun in any way we can be.

I have gardening plans in my head every day.  Here are some ideas for planning your garden this season.
