No idea what PTZD stands for. The Scooby gang gets to Nick just as he is trying to rip apart a small family. They get his attention and he chases them out of the house to a barn where they're able to trap him. They hit him with Rosalee's meds just as a bunch of patrol cars arrive and get him out of there.
He responds to the medication but remembers nothing. As it turns out, one of the customers from the previous episode's bar fight dies of his injuries. The Scoobies (I'll only call them that for this episode) decide to keep this from Nick and they agree on stories for the cops.
Nick is right there at home when Juliette is questioned, and learns that a man died. This is supposed to be a big trauma but Nick has killed plenty of folks and buried or had Monroe bury their bodies. He has made his peace with this side show of murder that comes with being a Grimm, so I thought. Is it different because the man he killed was a human not a wesen? That hardly seems fair.
Nick is determined to turn himself in and he jeopardizes everyone who is trying to protect him, but at the last moment he does not talks to the cops on the case.
Nick's other lasting effect from his Zombification is, he is sleeping and turns blue with cold and has a very slow heartbeat. He wakes up and is fine as Juliette is calling 911. No problems he says.
I'm hoping they move on with things and don't have Nick all angst ridden all season.
Renard
Renard's cohorts in Europe killed his half brother the Nick snatcher on his way home from the airport. Slick. He even got a congratulatory call from HIS MOMMA thanking him!!!! It didn't sound like a warm fuzzy mom son relationship from their tones. She sounded ancient and creepy. He looked tentative.
Adalind
She's still pawing and sawing away at the body of the fallen hexenbiest in a quest to get her own powers back. She gamely sews up the witches body cavity then uses her teeth to cut off the blood clot covered thread. Gross. I'm sure there is plenty more to come.

Grimm: Face Off
Last week another show that was inexplicably plucked from the air just when it was set to return from "fall hiatus" returned: the ever entertaining Grimm.
Nick knew who was fooling with Juliette thanks to Monroe (who saw the Captain and Juliette smooching). He had the BEST killer looks for the Captain as they investigated a crime scene Nick and Monroe had created themselves. He looked the smallest inch from launching himself openly at the Captain. The Captain did not miss seeing this but somehow seemed to be able to act as if he didn't notice. Cool customer.
Rosalee has thankfully returned and with the help of Nick and Monroe she poured over tomes in her spice shop until she found something that could help Nick, Juliette and the Captain. Something dire, of course!
The previews we saw of Juliette and the Captain going to town turned out to be a bit different in the episode. The Captain and Juliette were drawn to each other but in a hateful violent way that neither could control and both loathed.
Meanwhile, Adalind was released from jail so the Captain could interrogate her freely. Slinky former witch that she is, she talked Renard into doing the nasty with her to help satisfy his itch, and she insisted he do it in full hexenbeist mode.
The Captain is only half hexenbeist so when he is transformed, only a portion of his face gets all zombie looking. A bit disconcerting when we're used to all of those full blown transformations.
The best transformation in this episode was when Renard used a wesen locksmith who could turn into an owl creature whose head fit in the lock of Aunt Marie's Trailer. Once he was in there, he could see exactly which key on his gigantic keychain would fit the lock.
Nobody wants Nicks trailer to be pawed through by everyone that stops by. Why isn't Nick moving that trailer elsewhere?
The Captain searches the trailer in wonder at the many tomes and weapons without finding the map key he needs. Suddenly he pictures Nick furtively putting something in his desk at the precinct and voila, he goes there, openly rifles through and the key is his.
He cleverly stamps the map onto a piece of paper and puts that in his own desk file. He doesn't need the key, just the map. You will recall this map leads to a weapon of incredible power, which is why everyone wants it.
I had been thinking Nick gave it to his mom, but that was the coins of power lust...
Renard, having been threatened by Adalind (despite the nookie) that she will expose him to Nick, decides to take matters in his own hands. He meets Nick, gets thrashed by Nick, gives Nick the key. Tidy.
At the last Nick, Renard and Juliette go to Rosalee's shop to try a potion which will end the absorption Renard and Juliette have with each other. We see Nick lying in agony and crimson faced on the floor after a snork.
Before fadeout we see Adalind all smug in Austria with a positive pregnancy test. Yes, apparently one dance with the captain in his hexenbeist form was enough to get a mini-hexenbeist started. A witch would have this knowledge and you can take Adalind's powers away, but she is still the Witch of Witches.
My thought is, she want the leverage of having Renard's child, and who knows, maybe bearing a hexenbeist produced by a hexenbeist will bring her powers back. Maybe she eats the poor nipper or something to regain her powers. Ewww, but not something she wouldn't do. Bets are on that hexenbabies develop faster than the 9 months it takes for humans as a plot device.

Grimm: The Good Shepherd
This week a tight alliance of Nick, Hank and Monroe take on the case of a Reverend who comes in to report that his volunteer accountant has stolen all of the church funds and has gone missing.
When Nick and Hank go to the accountant's workplace to question folks, they find that the company wood chopping/grinding apparatus is clogged by a body with a metal hip which has caused the machinery to stop.
The investigation is now a homicide and our duo go to question the good reverend to see what he knows. Catching him in a meeting with his church elders, Nick says Norm was killed and was likely set up by someone else as the thief. In one of those Grimm only moments, everyone reveals their shock at this news by transforming--the Reverend into a Blutbad and the congregation into Seelengut, rather adorably rendered sheep-like creatures.
Enter Monroe, Undercover Blutbad. He enters the church one evening dressed in shoddy clothes and hat, his eyes glowing Blutbad red. The flock of Seelengut are shocked and frightened by him but the reverend hears Monroe's tale of wanting redemption and help and offers him lodging for the night.
The Right Reverend is of course ye wolf in wolves clothing. He has bilked a congregation before with the help of his "assistant", as Nick and Hank see when they investigate. He is also among his flock in other ways, getting a young girl pregnant, which inflames his sheepish assistant.
Monroe's dislike of herd mentalities is right on the money. Our lovely assistant turns the flock against the reverend and they attack him and kill him for his crimes. Just as they are about to do in Monroe as well, Nick and Hank intervene.
The flock all take responsibility for the murder of the reverend, so no loose ends there. His lovely assistant and the pregnant girl are off to the beach to enjoy the money from years of scams. The sheep shall inherit the beach?
A few ongoing threads:
Juliette goes out with friends who tell her Nick asked her to marry him and she said no, nobody knows why. She has a conversation with Nick and they both decide nobody needs to move out just yet despite the uncomfortable tensions between them. I have liked Juliette since the beginning and think she is smart and has great research and logic skills even though her heart is currently forcibly in the wrong place. There was a small scene with Renard recalling the kiss that saved her. I do hope she does not have some tie to him that will get in the way of her relationship with Nick. If the kiss merely ties them to each other in some way that would make them prone to loyalty to each other in the future, that is an ok plot twist.
Hank is really growing into his role as Grimm cohort. He soaks up new knowledge and bluffs his way when he isn't quite sure. I think if there is this upcoming war, Hank is a great person to have Nick's back.
The Nuckelavee creature that was sent by Renard's "family" to get the key shows up at Nick's trailer and I'm all panicky thinking oh no, he knows where the trailer is, Nick is going to have to move the trailer. Oh no, Nick has got to kill him and chop off his head, eek.
Instead, a rather tame fight ensues and of all the weapons in the trailer's arsenal to pull out of the cabinet, Nick pulls out a mallet, pummels the guy and that's it. I didn't even realize the guy was dead till they casually commented to Renard at the end that this guy had been found near the river, pummeled. I just think he seemed like an extra creepy and potentially powerful enemy and he was dispatched a bit too easily.

Grimm: The Kiss
Another loaded episode last night!
The FBI steps in to investigate the warehouse "incident" and the deaths of two of their agents. Nick is able to recover the gun he left at the scene after his fight with the Mauvais Dentes but a shell casing has been spotted and is in evidence. DNA at the scene doesn't match Nick's but is someone who could be closely related to him. "It's my mother" he tells them honestly but with relish, knowing they won't believe it.
He goes to a remote site and tosses his revolver (which he just barely recovered from under a tank at the factory). The conflicts between his Grimm life and police life have never been more tenuous.
Hank, who seems to be recovering from his close encounter with a Blutbad, tells Nick not to leave him out to dry, he has to be honest with him. Smart guy, but could he handle the truth? I think he can.
Kelly Burkhardt aka Nick's mom continues to wow in every scene. What a kick ass person. What a handy mom for a Grimm to have around. She assisted at the factory (it did take the two of them to bring down the Mauvais Dentes). She goes over to have a mom to mom chat with Adalind's mom, which ends badly for the hexenbiest. I suspect Adalind will resurface to get revenge for dear mom's demise.
Adalind's mom tells Kelly the stunning news that there is a Prince in Portland. She also indicates he is a literal bastard, which might be why he is so far from his family. Nick is interested when she tells him, but he isn't as stunned by this as she thinks he ought to be, you can tell.
Ms. Momma Hexenbiest has prepared a lumpy white potion for the Captain. It takes someone pure of heart of kiss Juliette and bring her out of her deep sleep. He is "barely human", she says, so it will take him on quite a ride.
We get to see a bit of his true visage before he drinks the potion. Renard looks a bit like a zombie, a bit like a hexenbiest. He spends numerous scenes roaring in pain and belching out black smoke before he appears at the hospital just ahead of Nick to place a kiss on Juliette's lips which brings her out of the witch induced coma she has been in.
If he now has a Pure Heart, how will that change him? How can he deal with his kingdom and his European family if he has lost his edge? I don't know why but I thought it would be nice to see Kelly team up on the side with the Captain once she finds out who he is. A Good Grimm does work with the local royalty. He won't need Nick if he has her, but of course on her behalf he would still work to protect Nick. Also, I rather like the Captain and Kelly would be worthy of him :) Just a thought.
Nice scenes between Monroe, Rosalee and Nick's mom. They are like scared children and she is politely dangerous as they drive her home. Rosalee hugs Kelly in an impulsive gesture and she briefly hugs back in a surprisingly sweet moment.
As we suspected, Juliette does not remember anything that has happened upon awakening, in fact she doesn't know who Nick is. He has an opportunity to let her go, or start over with her and hide his Grimm life.
At the last, Nick gives Kelly the Coins so she can take them to be destroyed at the place they were created. She doesn't know how long she will be gone. They hug, he drives away, she walks over to a car, jimmies the lock and gets in. Apparently she will be staying in town for a bit undercover.
Here's a great article from Entertainment Weekly's Blog on Captain Renard and what happens to him in this episode.

Grimm Season Two Premier: Bad Teeth
The Grimm season two opener features a french speaking tiger like creature who can "wipe out an entire village". The :Mauvais Dentes" has been sent to kill Nick, of course.
This plotline aside, alot happens! Nick's mom is of particular interest. She explains what happened to Nick's father and how she got away alive on the night he was killed. In order to protect Nick, she says, she disappeared. Aunt Marie knew Nick's mom was alive but never told him, also a protection.
In answer to Nick's question where has she been all of these years and why is she here now, she says she has been trying to track down the killer of her husband and her friend (who actually died in the accident). She heard that Kimura was here and she was hunting him.
Nick takes her to Aunt Marie's trailer and she is delighted to see it. She and her sister Aunt Marie bought it to store the boxes and boxes of Grimm stuff they inherited. She found out she was a Grimm at age ten, and taken out on "The Hunt". She has such a deadly feral quality to her, and being raised as a killer from age ten would easily produce such a being. Note that Nick was not raised that way by Aunt Marie, perhaps because they couldn't tell he had Grimm traits or perhaps the sisters agreed between themselves that he would live a more normal life as long as possible. There's a future flashback scene for you...What Really Happened That Night.
We need to know more about Aunt Marie over time. She was tough as nails but loving and she gave Nick a life safe from monsters. Her influence let him become someone who would emphasize with the Wesen and perhaps change the course of Grimm history.
Back to Kelly Burkhardt, Nick's mom. Did you see how she looked at those coins in the trailer? The familiar barely masked desire to possess them flashed over her face before she became composed and Grimmly business like. Just as she had heard rumors that Nick was the one who had sent the reaper heads to Europe Fed-Ex, I think she heard about the coins and suspected he has them. I believe she came for the coins and will take them at some point and disappear.
She is teaching him all she knows, either to prepare him for coming battles or I was thinking she will take the coins and use them and he will be a more worthy foe if he knows what he is doing a bit more. Mean mom city if true, but despite what looks like fondness for Nick, I think she is rock hard and is playing him.
She also knows he has one of the Seven Keys (did you notice the power lust in her voice as she told him about the weapon the map leads to?).
What will Kelly do when she meets or sees Renard? I think she will see him immediately for what he is. Will she tell Nick?
Renard who is so likeable most of the time really went around pushing his agenda. It appears he is behind the guy in France who is torturing the Resistance member, since he is shown speaking in French to someone on the phone at the end of the episode. However, Renard tells Adalind's mother he wants Nick, his own personal Grimm, to stay in town and stay loyal...so the Mauvais Dentes sent to destroy Nick can't be from him. Very confusing!
I am glad Kimura is dead, I don't care that he was taken down by a poisoned sandwich. Nasty guy.
The Juliette subplot was just touched on. Very odd that Rosalee and Monroe have this "unstable concoction" and are waiting for Nick to come to administer it. Meanwhile Adalind's mom under threat from Renard is concocting the same thing. Who will save Juliette?

Grimm: Bigfeet
Shades of the Blair Witch films! A college age camera crew is out in the woods having a hoot filming footage of themselves at night looking for Big Foot. One of the guys demonstrates his patented Big Foot howl and almost immediately he is struck down by something. The camera rolls and careens as the others are attacked and tossed against trees.
Juliette gets an emergency call from a stable owner whose horse has been attacked by something. The owner got off a shot at the attacking creature but he isn't sure if he hit anything. Juliette examines the horse who has large rakes across his neck as if a creature has clawed it but the claw marks are huge. They follow giant footsteps into the woods which disappear suddenly.
What appears to be a shoe randomly tossed into the pathway still has the bloody foot inside. They look up and see the carnage created earlier by the beast.
Enter Nick and Hank and Wu at the crime scene. They find the camera and send it to be analyzed. Suddenly a girl runs out of the shrubbery yelling about Big Foot attacking them all.
The girl is sent to the hospital and the police review the film of the night before. It seems the creature wore a flannel shirt so the captain says this is our crime and we will quell any talk about Big Foot to keep hysteria down. Unfortunately the girl is babbling about the attack at the hospital so the Big Foot rumor spreads.
Our Blutbad About Town Monroe is snoozing away at home when he smells an intruder. Sneaking downstairs ready to fight, he encounters the Big Foot creature in his kitchen who he recognizes as Larry from his circle of friends who are trying to quell their inner beasties. Larry is unable to turn back into his human form and he is injured and in need of help. Naturally Monroe calls Nick.
As they discuss what to do, the police hounds have chased Larry's scent to Monroe's neighborhood. I've marked the area well, says Monroe proudly, that will throw them off. Not well enough, because onward they come. Bad news if Nick, Monroe and Big Foot are all casually sitting around the living room when Hank and the dogs arrive. Monroe grabs Larry's red flannel shirt, goes Blutbad, and leads the dogs on a chase off into the woods. After a distance, Monroe turns, roars at the dogs and they run away like scared pups. Hank is knocked down by Monroe who rushes by. Hank gets only a blurry look at the creature and the red flannel shirt. Monroe gets home and Larry painfully rips something bloody out of the back of his neck and dies. Nick and Monroe have another body to dispose of. Good thing they use rubber gloves!
Monroe goes to his pool hall hangout where the guys usually meet to find that Larry had been seeing a wesen doctor who claims to be able to help with the inner beast. The touchy-feely doc feels the beast should be embraced. At least that's what he tells his swooning fans. In reality, he has inserted a device in the necks of several wesen which releases a variety of herbs and other substances which should help control the beasts. Instead, they become stuck like poor Larry between forms and go mad.
Of four devices sold to the doc, three result in deaths. The doc has inserted the fourth in his own body and he loses control just as Monroe comes to his office to confront him. Nick and Hank arrive at the scene just in time to save Monroe but the doc escapes. I liked Hank's "what is he doing here?" I suppose he is still embarrassed that Monroe witnessed the odd Hank behavior under Adalind's spell.
Anywho, the doc goes to a theater, ravages his way through a crowd, drags an unconscious woman off through the seats chased by Nick and Hank and Wu. He of course falls to his death in the chase. Hank arrives first and sees the metamorphosis. Hank is shocked at what he sees and Nick pretends he did not see anything unusual.
Once again, the only thing carrying the show mythology forward is Juliette, who took hairs from the stable crime scene and analyzed them. I thought her appraisal that the DNA had chimera qualities was quite a leap from her hominid/primate notations. "Chimera" is a broad term and is often applied to many different mechanisms of the mixing of cells from two different species. Nonetheless the show might have been just a monster of the week segment without the last lines of the show, with Juliette asking Nick "What if all of those stories we've heard through our lives aren't really stories? What if they're real?"

What if they're real?"

Grimm: Happily Ever Aftermath
In a twist on the Cinderella story, a young couple loses all of their money in a financial disaster. So that his beloved bride does not have to suffer, the husband goes to his mother-in-law to ask for help until they can get back on their feet.
The Wicked Stepmother roundly turns him down and says she has earned the fortune she has and there is no reason to share it with the ungrateful "Lucinda."
That night, as Mavis (aka the Wicked Stepmother) rests in her large lonely mansion, she is awakened by that most dreaded sound...something is under the bed. She looks beneath the blankets and a horrid bat-like creature screeches and a chase ensues. Pinned against a railing atop a long staircase by the creature, all Mavis can do is cover her ears and scream as the creature emits a glass and eyeball shattering screech.
Her body lying on the floor below where she has fallen and all of the shattered glass present detectives Nick and Hank with a puzzle. There are no cuts on the victim's bare feet from all of the shattered glass. How and when did she fall? When and how did the glass shatter? I love the way these creature crimes are always approached first as regular police cases. Here is the evidence. What can we guess happened? Only Nick and the police captain ever know what is really occurring and the captain never ever gives the slightest visual clue that he knows any more than he would if he were a human (we don't actually know what type of creature he is).
Family friend Spencer reveals to Nick's Grimm eyes under duress that he is a Murcielago, a bat creature just like the one we saw under the bed and shattering the glass in the hall. Nick can prove nothing of course but Spencer is a suspect for purely human reasons as well.
This gives Nick some Aunt Marie's Trailer Time with Monroe. They look up the creature, what it does and how it might be defeated. A strange hand cranked device happens to be amongst the storehouse of weapons. It emits an ultrasonic sound that should turn the soundwaves back at the bat creature.
As the investigation goes on, one of Lucinda's stepsisters rather greedily takes over the family business. The second stepsister is in tears and quaking in fear.
Lucinda decides she should go see her stepsister Tiffany to give her condolences on the loss of her mother. Lucinda's husband begs her not to go given the bad blood between them, but she is insistent.
Lucinda seems like a slightly daffy, airheaded, clothing obsessed girl. There is a sweetness to her. She seems slightly clueless that a bad past between herself, the girls and the stepmother could matter now.
Something about the second stepsister's fear and Lucinda's insistence on the visit made me suddenly think yikes, loopy Lucinda is the creature! I wanted to be wrong, but a short conversation between the greedy domineering stepsister and the still smiling, mildly irked Lucinda ended with Tiffany's head and car windows shattering while Lucinda in full Murcilago form looks on.
With one cowering stepsister to go, Nick and Monroe race to save her. Spencer, the guardian Murcilago is there as well, hoping to stop Lucinda. Lucinda, already closing in on her prey, is driven out of the house by the ancient hand cranked Grimm weapon. Spencer finds her and uses his own powers on her to end the bloodshed, regretful that he has not been able to keep a promise to protect her, yet determined to stop her. Not quite dead, she rises and sinks her long teeth into his throat, killing him just before dying herself.
Nick turns in the weapon to the police, explaining that Lucinda killed the others with its high frequency sound. Once again the captain listens to the story as if it were an odd but true tale.
The Murcilago is the third legendary creature that I recall showing up in Portland. Another was the Golden Egg laying Klaustreich from "The Thing With Feathers" and the third was the Spinnetod from "Tarentella". Are these rare creatures being drawn to Portland for some reason? Is there some connection to the upcoming war? Coincidence?
A small segment of the show was given to Juliette's excellent research skills in the search for more information about the death of Nick's parents. She manages to get ahold of the detective who worked on the case. That detective contacts Nick and sends him pictures of four men suspected in the deaths. Three of those men are dead as a result of the chase for the golden mind controlling "Three Coins in a Fuchsbau". The fourth man must be tracked down somehow.

Grimm: Leave it to Beavers
In a curiously charming episode, Nick investigates a mob style killing at a bridge construction site. An Eisbiber has uncharacteristically said no to paying off troll-like Wesen Salvadore Burrell, a city inspector. He ends up encased in cement.
The killing is witnessed by another Eisbiber, Arnold, who is more typical of the beaver-like race. He's scared, he runs, he hides in a friends basement.
When Nick and Hank trace down the 911 call Arnold made, they find his trailer fill of whirligigs and a photo that includes Wesen refrigerator repairman Bud. I just love this little guy as the series goes on, and I really feared for him in this episode. He has this hero worship of Nick and is so eager to do what he can to help him and he showers him with homemade gifts.
Bud works to try to get his fellow Eisbibers to help Nick and to vote to force Arnold to come forward to testify against Sal, the troll-like Hasslich.
Sal doesn't like being thwarted so he calls in Reapers to kill Nick. The Reapers aren't such easy tools however, and they turn on Sal and demand to know all he knows about Nick and his whereabouts.
Lucky for Nick, he and Monroe have been practising with some of the weapons in Aunt Marie's trailer. Nick has a small crossbow with two bolts stuffed with powders to tranquilize then take down the quarry. He also has a large studded bat. Their practice session in the woods is so cute. It starts off with Nick being pounced on by Monroe who comes bounding out of the foliage reminding me of nothing so much as Winnie the Pooh's Tigger.
When the reapers track down Nick, a fight ensues. I wondered how Nick was going to keep his Grimm weapons handy. They wouldn't exactly fit under his shirt! He just carries them in a gym bag in his car. Nick does some rather amazing dodging of Reaper blades and one of the Reaper's slices off his fellow Reaper's head. Oops! Nick hits the second Reaper in the neck with his crossbow.
Nick calls Monroe to come help dispose of the bodies. My goodness there is a lot of sweeping of bodies under the rug going on these days. Nick has definitely crossed the line into Cop/Grimm territory, merging the two smoothly.
In an effort to discourage more Reapers from coming to kill him, Nick sends a nicely wrapped package to Reaper Central with a note: "Next time send your best."

Grimm: Cat and Mouse
In this weeks's episode, a wesen freedom fighter is on the run from several determined assassins. He ends up in Portland, just ahead of a particularly tough pursuer who manages to wound him before he escapes to Rosalee's shop.
He is looking for Rosalee's dead brother who was known to help fleeing wesen get to safety. This is a bit of a nicer background for Freddy who seemed to be largely a dealer in illegal wesen substances from previous episodes, particularly Island of Dreams.
Nick and Hank investigate the bus station shooting, getting helpful information about the fugitive Ian Harmon from the bus driver. He also has Ian's picture to offer.
The deadly assassin is Edgar Waltz a member of an organization of Enforcers called the Verrat. Edgar joins many recent members of the creature community in threatening Captain Renard. He wants Renards cooperation, he wants Renard's pet Grimm. He tells Renard "If you seek peace, prepare for war".
This made me wonder if Renard is not off in this corner of the world so that he can lead a peaceful and honorable existence. Remember when he was affected by the coins? He may have dreamed of rapturous crowds shouting his name, but when awake what he most wanted to do was go more forcefully after the criminals of the city and make it safe.
Ian Harmon, saved from his wounds by Rosalee and Monroe carefully digging out the bullet, asks again for help getting out of town. Monroe insists that Nick be brought in to help with the situation, and Rosalee vouches for him as well.
Nick, fooled by Edgar into thinking Ian is the killer, pulls his gun on Ian and has to be talked down by his friends. Ian gives him some interesting information. There is a war coming. There are seven royal houses which rule the world and they are in upheaval because of the Resistance and Grimms are involved with them in ways they should not be. The Verrat is trying to wipe out the resistance, particularly its leader Ian.
Nick was very impatient and didn't want to hear a "history lesson" from Ian. Yet, in an earlier part of the episode Nick sat in Aunt Marie's trailer making his first entries in a Grimm notebook. He was recounting his tale of the Klaustreich (nasty cat creature) and his wife the Seltenvogel (bird creature with a golden egg growing in her throat). He had a drawing of the Klaustreich and was penning a description of the cat man. He wanted to call him an ass, but settled for "treacherous", laughing, no no I can't say that. The point being, he is really embracing his Grimmness and I would think he would want to know everything he can learn.
Nick was also shown watching a film on that curious hand cranked projector of some simple wesen creatures being shot down by the assassin creatures from the Verrat.
I suppose Nick was just torn between his duty as a policeman and his loyalties to his friends and allies Monroe and Rosalee. In the end, he helps Ian leave town, telling him never to return (as if that could stop the upcoming creature war). He tells Monroe to dispose of Edgar's body (shot by Ian in some pretty cold blood).
Good episode, I'm enjoying the mythology they are finally adding into the episodes. I wish they had spread it out more over the course of the season but I'll take it. Four more episodes.
I would like these things to occur:
I want to know what type of creature Renard is and I want Nick to know him for what he is.
Juliette can be revealed to be some interesting creature as well, or maybe some rare and wonderful Creature Doctor. Why not, not much of a stretch from veterinarian to wesen meister. Or maybe she can just play veterinarian to the wesen.
I would like Adalind to approach Hank and try to create a real relationship with him . Perhaps aid the Grimm side with some of her knowledge, but secretly via Hank. Suitably complex.
Would like Nick to grow in his "powers" just a bit more.

Grimm: Love Sick
This episode was a huge relief after last week's truly Grimm episode "The Thing with Feathers" in which a bird-like wesen was tortured/force fed by her nasty cat husband. Ack.
In what is revealed as an effort to get the key Aunt Marie left Nick, Adalind seduces Hank after having primed him with poisonous cookies. With Hank near death, Adalind demands the key in exchange for Hanks life.
Backed by his new faithful crew of wesen experts Monroe and Rosalee, he works to find an antidote for Hank's maladies.
Also a victim of the cookies, Sergeant Wu, that furniture eating rapscallion, serves as a test for the antidote. Where did they get that device that they inserted in his nostrils? There was something vaguely steampunkish about it, and about a smoking pipe used by wesen miscreants in a previous episode.
Although he is clearly a bad boy, I just love Captain Renard. He never misses a beat and never fliches when threatened. I'm looking forward to seeing what this Prince of Creatures looks like beneath that cool exterior and hope it is revealed by season's end.
I love the blossoming relationship between Monroe and Rosalee. Monroe is something of a Renaissance Blutbad and Rosalee compliments him nicely. Much better than the savage piggie sister from his past in an earlier episode this season.
Nick is showing his detective skills a bit more this episode, as he postulated the third man in the shooting deaths of recently arrived foreigners (Renard's folks trying to bring him into line), and at the end he has tried the key in everything in the trailer but the key also turns out to be a map he inks onto paper...a smarter Nick is a better Nick for the show.
