Most of my shows have had their finales, so this week I only have The Rookie and Will Trent.
The Rookie Dead Ringer
The episode was an odd mix.
A serial killer sought sole custody of his children. Tim is inadvertently letting everyone in the
precinct know he’s looking for a ring for Lucy, providing a fair amount of
comedy. It’s the end of the line for
wily as anything Monica, who finally made the wrong deal with the wrong person
and she was killed and dumped in a remote spot.
Will Trent Where’d
You Come From Little Angel?
A scientist and his lover are found dead by a construction
crew working in their house. Nobody heard any sounds that might indicate a
break in and attack.
Will, still reeling from Amanda’s death struggles to put the
pieces together, and he’s attacked in the deserted morgue and stuffed in a
drawer. He hallucinates about the case,
but is also reunited with the Amanda he met in his teens who offered to help
him get his life straightened out.
Sydney Park plays young Amanda. She has down Amanda’s speech patterns and
facial expressions perfectly. The
actress played young Amanda in earlier seasons, but she wasn’t quite so dead on
as she is here. Not that I recall.
While Will loses consciousness and hallucinates, he and
young Amanda work the case together, and get to say a final goodbye.
