Five Things Friday November 15, 2024

 I’m well into my Christmas shopping and am finding great gifts for people. It makes me happy and I know they will love it.  Even my spouse The Grinch.

One:  Need extra storage or display space? Painting an old drawer and hanging it on the wall could add unexpected charm to your home.

Two:  Have some fun rocks you’d like to paint? These snowmen are adorable.

Three:  The Vintage Kitsch Christmas type groups are active again. Here’s the sort of display I love. Dang I saw the green elf heads last year and didn’t get them. They kind of intrigued me, kind of creeped me out. 

Four:  I don’t know why these didn’t catch on.

Five:  As they say in Pandaria, Slow Down.

Five Things Friday September 13, 2024

 Yikes it’s almost half way through September and my goals for this month have gone kablooie.  Life intrudes on our list making, does it not?  

One: Christmas makes another appearance or two because it’s just so pretty.  You asked for another decorated trunk (secretly) and here it is. Imagine some silly person putting a Barbie in this instead.

Two: I have a fondness for china cabinets, particularly adorable smaller ones crammed full of collectibles.

Three: To give equal time to Halloween, blogger Repeat Crafter Me uses new Glowing Red Heart Yarn for spooky little ghosts.

Four: More Halloween!  My husband is now a fan of the huge variety bags of Halloween candy from Costco after years of buying 14 or so bags of snack sized candies.  He has the kids grab as much as they can hold in one hand so he needs quite a bit.

Five: This isn’t quite the ideal room but it’s close.  The book cases, so cozy, I love the padded end table which you could use as a footstool to unwind.  The couch could be more nappable.
