It's about that time of the year when I at least think of doing a Spring Cleaning List. I have several printed, and do the parts I can. It's an appealing way to freshen things up.
Here's an article from The Kitchn wherein one of their staff follow a daily cleaning routine from the 1920s. In a time when the household was actually a job for a woman, the routine is reasonable (except turning the mattresses weekly, that's a bit much.
