I love books that have chapter titles. They're sort of a delicious part of the plot, often.
I buy hardcovers whenever I can so there's the flyleaf to read. And I do read it. Even on a paperback I like to see a summary. Book blurbs seem overdone, these days. They almost seem generic, no matter who the quote is from.
Every book that could have a map, should have a map.
I like a cast of characters page. Place names and pronunciations, not so much.
Books in series with the number on the spine. Yeeesssssss.

Ready for some mysteries within a Mystery? Murder and Mayhem presents murders that happen while characters are involved in solving other murders or crimes. I'm glad to see Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious on the list. In it, a teen working to solve an old murder is suddenly seeing current day murders occur around her, somehow tied to the past.
