Feeling Barfy? Natural Antacids

 


So. Acid reflux, aka GERD.  Terrible stuff.  I'm 99% sure I never had it till I had chemo back in the day.  Got it now!  The only true help for it is 7up, in a can, not a bottle, icy cold.


 

In the rare case you ate some hot cheesy dish of goodness late in the day, maybe you want something more.  

It occurred to me there must be "natural antacids" that you could eat or drink to counteract or lessen your problems.  I haven't had any luck with things like Tums or Alka Selzer gummies at all.  I take one Omeprazole daily, or things go south really fast even if I don't eat anything upsetting, like any dairy or gravy.  Of the presented options, I liked and think I would eat or drink these:

 Ginger

Papaya

Turmeric

Chamomile Tea

Baking soda in water

Yogurt

Bananas
