The Digital Public Library of America April 18, 2013

According to an article in the Star Tribune A Digital Library in Every Living Room the Digital Public of America will be open for business on April 18, 2013.

The library will put online the collections of libraries and museums across the country.  These are not popular collections, but more specialized historical collections from what I can see.  The individual libraries and museums will make the items available on their own sites and searching the digital library will take you there to see the results.
