Five Fiction Podcasts

Some fiction podcasts are pure storytelling, some remind me of old radio shows.  These are great listening.  I'm particularly enjoying Limetown with its old radio sensibilities and cliffhanger episodes.

Campfire Radio Theater   A series of short stories that are just a bit scary.  There's even a sound of a crackling campfire at the opening.  Multi-voiced dramatizations.

Levar Burton Reads   There are few voices in the business as wonderful to listen to as that of Levar Burton.  He reads short stories from a variety of sources.  So smooth and soothing no matter the topic.

Limetown    Three hundred townspeople disappear overnight.  Ten years after the event, an investigative journalist takes another look at events in the town and tries to solve the mystery.

Lore    A folkloric presentation by Aaron Mahnke of historic people and events, all out of the ordinary, all told in traditional story form.

Podcastle: The Fantasy Fiction Podcast   Tales of fantasy  given dramatic readings by the Podcastle staff.  All fantasy subgenres are here, so there's something for everyone.
