Book Notes September 6, 2021

Author Steven Womack writes at CrimeReads of his early critical success writing a series that he's decided to bring back.  It's really interesting. You'd think getting awards for your novels early on would lead to financial success, but apparently it's not a guarantee.

Ready for some mysteries within a Mystery?  Murder and Mayhem presents murders that happen while characters are involved in solving other murders or crimes.  I'm glad to see Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious on the list.  In it, a teen working to solve an old murder is suddenly seeing current day murders occur around her, somehow tied to the past.
