I've recently acquired a taste for sweet/salty "mixes" such as Plain Chicken's Praline Crunch. I've never tried Crispix cereal, but am pretty sure I've seen it in the stores. I've a nice bag of pecans at the ready.

It's Snickerdoodle season! My tried and true Betty Crocker recipe hasn't come out right the last couple of times. I'm going to try this version by I Am Baker to see if I can get the nice little fluffy ones again.

Last week I made a recipe I had selected for What's Cooking--Spicy Southern Kitchen's Crockpot Butterscotch Apple Crisp.

It is sooo good. There's something warm and buttery about it in addition to the perfectly cooked apple, oats and spices. Definitely top it with ice cream. Edy's vanilla is my favorite.
This week The English Kitchen shared a recipe for Apple Butterscotch Pudding Cake that has some of the same flavors, but in cake form. I don't know where locally I'd find muscovado sugar, but we shall see. Otherwise, it's definitely a recipe I'll try.

Ah, these and the even better chocolate covered Black Cows!
Love Bakes Good Cakes has a nice casserole for this cooler weather. I halved the recipe but still used a 9x13 inch pan. Stupidly I forgot to spray the pan with Pam. Agh. I left out Hot Sauce and also offered green Onions on the side as these ingredients would be no go with a certain person.
Other than that, really simple to make and very tasty. It reminds me of baked potatoes with all of the trimmings :)
