Better than a bookmobile for those remote customer locations!  via The Smithsonian, an article on the intrepid Librarians of Yore who brought books to everyone who needed them.  It's really a wonderful story of resourcefulness as librarians found ways to get donations, repaired or re-did battered and beloved tomes.
